چکیده
Taurodontism is a morpho-anatomical developmental anomaly, which is seen infrequently in teeth only. It is characterized by a deficiency in the constriction at the cement-enamel junction, with lengthened pulp chamber and apical displacement of the pulpal floor. This report presents a case of bilateral taurodontism which were pulpally involved. Endodontic treatment was done for both the teeth and stainless steel crown was placed.

Modified Distal Shoe Appliance for Bilateral Early Loss of Primary Molars: Report of Four Cases
Introduction: Space maintenance in primary dentition in patients with early loss of several primary molars is a clinical challenge for pedodontists. In these cases, the conventional distal shoe appliance cannot be used and the efficacy of removable appliances is questionable. Thus, appliances with special designs providing increased patient acceptance and optimal efficacy are required in these ...
متن کاملMultiple Bilateral Taurodontic Teeth in Primary Dentition: A Case Report
Taurodontism describes the tendency for the body of the tooth to enlarge at the expense of the roots. An enlarged pulp chamber, apical displacement of the pulpal floor, and no constriction at the level of the cementoenamel junction are the characteristic features. These anatomic variations may hinder location of canal orifices, complete removal of pulp, proper instrumentation and obturation. Im...
متن کاملA Rare Condition of Bimaxillary Primary Molar Taurodontism
Taurodontism is a relatively rare variance with a very low incidence in primary dentition and only a few cases have been reported in the literature. It stands a challenge when these teeth require pulp therapy. This case report illustrates the oral rehabilitation of multiple primary molars with taurodontism involving both the maxillary and mandibular arches, which is a rare occurrence.

متن کاملEndodontic Treatment of a Taurodontism Tooth: Report of a Case
Taurodontism is a rare dental anomaly in which the involved tooth has an enlarged and elongated body and pulp chamber with apical displacement of the pulpal floor. Endodontic treatment of these teeth is challenging, because it is hard to identify the number of root canals. In this article a case of bilateral involvement of maxillary first molars is presented. Endodontic treatment of right maxil...
